Venice, Italy
Something mysterious about the masks made in Venice. It is such an intriguiging part of the culture... Not so much the mask, as the masquerade... It is perfectly acceptable to become someone else, to act out of character, to hide behind another face...

Taken in a public market somewhere in Italy, where food is revered! Each bouquet is made up of red peppers, with a lovely yellow one in the center.
Castellina in Chianti
This is the Church of St. Salvador in Castellina, Chianti. The exterior is medieval, but the interior is modern. The church was rebuilt after previously being destroyed, I think, during WWII. The acoustics are amazing! We listened to a piano concerto here one evening, and the experience was memorable.
San Gimignano, Italy
