I shot this photo in the Yucatan peninsula, near Chichen Itza. Ik Kil is an ancient cenote, or an underground well that reach by climbing down deep into a cave. I took this photo from across the cenote, as I was watching divers jump from a cliff into the well. The vertical lines in the photo are vines and a waterfall. The light in the water comes from the small opening at the top of the cave that leads to the surface....
Valladolid, Mexico
I was working at the LIS eye clinic in Valladolid, and we had patients lined up and waiting for several hours to get glasses. This little girl was very interested in what we were doing, and kept coming into the clinic to get an up-close-and-personal look. She was really cute!
